The artwork presented here is a collection that spans the past twenty-five years of my career. Throughout this time, I have consistently chosen to move away from the traditional constraints of painting on square or rectangular canvases. Rather than confining myself to conventional canvas shapes, I use familiar subjects such as landscapes, still lives, and figurative works as a foundation. I aim to blend painting and sculpture, creating pieces that challenge and expand conventional artistic boundaries. A central goal of my work is to draw the viewer into the image plane, fostering a more intimate and personal connection with each piece. By hanging my paintings on the wall and allowing the forms to extend into the surrounding environment, the artwork naturally flows from the wall into the observer's floor space. In many instances, I enhance this effect by integrating three-dimensional objects onto the floor, further dissolving the barriers between art and viewer. The physical arrangement of the paintings invites the audience to experience the work not just visually but also in a shared space.
