I wanted to address the idea of a weddingbut not in a traditional way so symboliized the groomes men as a ro of urnals and the slice of wedding cake which has been deflowered.

This was an attempt to address the humanistic character of the subject and depict a picture of something that isn't typically associated with figurative painting.

I wanted to paint the idea of how people become terrified as the night sneaks up on them and engulfs everything around them. How does one grow scared of something as ethereal as darkness?
